MG Architects is an industry leading designer of financial institutions, commercial offices, corporate interiors and retail spaces with active projects across the country. MG Architects is seeking a self-starting Project Manager or Senior Project Manager whose initial responsibilities will include multiple projects for one of our long-term clients.

Position Description:
The successful candidate will work with another Senior Project Manager and be responsible for the administration, production and coordination associated with projects being performed in the Houston area. This person will have strong interpersonal skills, and reflect MG Architects’ commitment to client-centric service. The Project Manager is an experienced design professional having a strong background in Project Management, Construction Document preparation, and materials and methods of construction. The position is client facing with regular client and contractor meetings.
General Skills:
- Substantial experience in project management including construction document preparation and field observation
- Sufficient knowledge of engineering disciplines to evaluate and coordinate consultant work
- Knowledge of building materials, specification, and construction techniques
- Attention to detail and problem solving
Primary Responsibilities:
- Ability to organize and prioritize personal workload and make necessary adjustments in meeting deadlines
- Strong communication skills to work with clients, field personnel and internal staff in achieving deadlines and quality work
- Preparation of Construction Documents, coordination and Quality Control
- Maintain continual client contact from CD’s through construction to ensure expectations and deliverables are met.

Education and/or Experience Prerequisites:
- Bachelor of Architecture degree or higher
- 10 years experience commercial or retail experience
- 5 years experience leading teams.
- Licensure not required, but is a plus.
