Senior Project Architect

Form4 Architecture has a position available for a Project Architect with a minimum of 12 years work experience (minimum 8 years in the role of Project Architect). The Project Architects at Form4 play a critical role in designing and delivering exceptional architectural projects. This opening represents an excellent opportunity to join a highly creative and collaborative team while working on inspiring architectural projects.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Prepare project schedules and work plans. Plan and oversee project documentation
• Apply firm standards and conduct ongoing QC review of the documents
• Review project regarding construction standards, code, and ADA requirements
• Collaborate with the project team members on design solutions and documentation
• Resolve complex technical / design issues
• Communicate with consultants and authorities having jurisdiction
• Develop construction documentation drawings and provide construction administration
• Lead the production team

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Project Architect with a minimum of 8 years in the role in some of the following categories: commercial, civic, office, school, hospitality, and retail projects
• Experience leading, managing, and mentoring a project team
• Strong organization, communication, and relationship management skills
• Commitment to high-quality work and attention to detail
• Proficiency in Revit and Bluebeam required
• A well-developed design sense and excellent graphical skills
• Strong understanding of building materials, details, and construction techniques
• Ability to develop excellent construction drawing details that support ambitious design solutions
• Architectural license in the USA required (State of California preferred).
