Ronen Lev is looking for an intermediate architectural designer to work with us on a wide range of exciting projects including private homes and high-end hospitality projects. Our ideal candidate will have an excellent design portfolio, good specification knowledge, and experience of completing a range of residential and hospitality projects including large scale renovations. We’re seeking motivated designers who love our aesthetic and are excited about the opportunity to work with our select portfolio of influential and interesting clients.

Ronen Lev is a boutique design practice with an architectural influence working on a wide range of projects around the US. The Ronen Lev approach centers on creating warm, timeless and personalized spaces through the use of materiality, craftsmanship and expert space planning. Our office is located in the intersection of the West Village / Meatpacking area overlooking the Hudson River. We offer flexible work from home and summer schedule options.

As an Intermediate designer, you will be deeply involved in project development from schematic design to construction, with significant opportunity for team leadership experience. You will be working closely with the two principal designers on each new project and will receive valuable mentorship as you grow with us. Our ideal candidate should be located in New York City and should be able to travel to our projects in Los Angeles, The Hamptons and other locations outside of the city where they will attend client meetings and act as the project manager.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • produce floor plans and elevations based on Ronen Lev’s drawing standards
  • produce design documents including DD, CD sets, and schedules from Schematic Design to Installation
  • prepare detailed interior elevations, millwork and custom furniture detailing
  • create presentations with materials, sketches, plans and renderings
  • create and keep track of project budget and timeline daily
  • correspond directly with clients, external consultants and suppliers
  • manage daily multiple projects simultaneously from schematic design to construction & installation phases
  • Attend site meetings

Skills & Experience Requirements:

  • BArch, MArch or equivalent design degree
  • 2 - 6 years of experience working in an architecture or design firm required. This is not an entry - level position.
  • MUST have strong drafting experience in Autocad.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Design Suite and any 3D software
  • 3D Studio Max & Vray or Rhino proficiency is a plus.
  • Outstanding organizational skills and strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and high proficiency in English
  • Ability to travel out of NY state for project visits
