Van Meter Williams Pollack is an award-winning multi-disciplinary architecture and urban design firm with offices in San Francisco, Denver, and Minneapolis. VMWP’s urban design work includes transit-oriented development, master planning and specific plans, design standards and guidelines, and project feasibility analysis. Using our architectural design expertise, we have created development prototypes for many cities that assist them in achieving more intensive development in important transition areas of their community. Our design guidelines are prepared to assist developers, property owners, and municipalities to conceive of and design appropriate projects. Each of our projects includes an active community process where we work together with local stakeholders in workshops and charrettes to prioritize goals and create a future vision of their place.

JUNIOR URBAN DESIGNER

The Junior Urban Designer will assist in all aspects of the urban design work at VMWP including graphic production, presentations, marketing and production of documents. Strong graphic skills and competency in the following software programs are encouraged: Sketch Up, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Revit. Hand-drawing skills are a plus. Candidates must work well within a team and individually in an interactive studio environment. A master's degree in architecture, landscape architecture, planning, or urban design is preferred.

The Junior Urban Designer position requires:

• A degree in urban design related field
• 1-3 years of professional design experience
